How can I tell if I have metabolic syndrome?

You may be diagnosed with "metabolic syndrome" metabolic disorder if you have any one of the following 3 conditions

01 Overweight and/or obese: bmi ≥25kg/m2.

02 Hyperglycemia: fasting blood glucose (FPG) ≥ 6.1 mmol/L and/or 2h glucose 7.8 mmol/L, and/or diabetes confirmed and treated.

Hypertension: Systolic/diastolic blood pressure ≥ 140/90 mmHg, and/or hypertension diagnosed and treated.

04 Dyslipidemia: fasting blood triglycerides ≥ 1.7 mmol/l (150mg/dl), fasting blood triglycerides ≥ 0.9 mmol/l (35mg/dl) (men), fasting blood triglycerides ≥ 1.0 mmol/l (39mg/dl) (women).

Preferred methods of lifestyle interventions

Optimize the dietary structure, low sugar, low fat, low salt (daily salt intake not more than 6 grams), low calorie diet, appropriate to increase the intake of fruits, vegetables and roughage, and eat only 7-8 points per meal.

02 long-term adherence to regular exercise, in order to achieve the goal of energy consumption, weight loss, advocate 30 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic training every day.

03 to develop good habits, do not smoke, do not drink alcohol, have enough sleep every day, maintain a happy mood.
